The beginning of Romeo and Juliet suggests that the fate of Romeo and Juliet's relationship is tragic.  Personally, I believe that everything has a fate, but people often assume that they have a different fate.  For example, if someone gets a deadly disease, they might believe that their fate is to die.  However, their fate could be that their case will help develop the cure for cancer.

The issue of whether fate can be changed or not is a debatable topic.  If someone was born into a family with a family business, for example, they might not want to take over the business.  He or she might think that their fate involves continuing the business.  If he or she decided to break the tradition, then he or she might think that their destiny was being changed.  However, it could be said that his or her destiny was to defy their family and allow future generations an option in the course of their life  I personally believe that you cannot change your fate; no matter what you do, your decisions will lead you to your real fate.

  1. Very interesting points made in your post, Celina. I enjoyed reading it and, for the most part, share your opinions. Do you think that you could format your blog to reflect the tone, mood, theme of Romeo & Juliet? Consider it! Overall, I'd say your first post is a success!
